Meet up to visit the Leaning Tower (spectacular!)and the extensive Piazza dei Miracoli (miracle square)r. Then we'll sit down in a vibrant area of Pisa for pre-dinner "aperativi" drinks to get to know each other a little bit.
Dinner is own your own but we'll reserve a table if you want to join the staff at a favorite place.
AM - Meet at the Pisa train station and head to the Cinque Terre and our hotel in old-town Monterosso.
The evening finds us in the village of Manarola with it's classic overlook and charming harbor.

Overnight - Monterosso
After a relaxed morning we head to the southernmost town Riomaggiore. In addition to the classic harbor view, you'll enjoy some intimate time photographing in its narrow alleys and among the characteristic fishing boats.
A ferry to the village of Tellaro gets us even further off the tourist track with seascapes for blue hour. Then of course bak to a warm Osteria for a glass of local wine. Who says workshops have to be all work?
Overnight: Monterosso
After a relaxed morning of eating and learning a few new editing tricks, we head out again and dig deeper today into the towns of the Cinque Terre.
On the agenda, Corniglia perched high for an overlook of the “five lands”.
Finish with a seafood dinner overlooking colorful Vernazza and the sea, a view coveted by photographers all over the world.
Overnight: Monterosso
After breakfast we settle in for a deep workshop session in the morning. Review images and learn new editing methods to make your photographs sing.
Enjoy a free afternoon on the boardwalk. Camogli’s harbor is a wonderful stroll from our hotel and provides a ton of opportunity to practice methods discussed in the workshop.
End the day together shooting “blue hour” views of the town reflected in its harbor.

Begin each day with the delicious breakfast at our hotel with a view you won’t believe.
Ferry around the Portofino peninsula, stopping to visit the ancient monastery of San Fruttuoso.
Continue on to Portofino, world famous harbor town, where the rich and famous make frequent appearances, including, yes… us. Practice your “street still-lives” in the lush colors of this town and take a short hike for a classic overlook.
Overnight: Camogli
We'll venture south along what is known as the Italian Riviera and visit Rapallo, a favorite of Hemingway and other ex-pat artists. A cooking class and wine tasting are options we may explore in Rapallo according to the desires of the group.
Today instructors can offer you even more individual help as you prepare your images and practice your new found editing skills.
All week you’ll eat amazingly, but our final dinner together is something special.

After a farewell breakfast and a brief wrap-up in the workshop room, we get to see each guest’s favorite images from our time together. There’s nothing more satisfying for the workshop leaders than witnessing your amazing results.
Reluctant goodbyes at our noon checkout in Camogli. We can help you arrange transportation to Milan, Genoa, Pisa or Florence.
